Ambling along…

Rosemary

Hard at it.   Not much else to say…

Most days, I either hit the gym, or take a good walk.   Preferably in the woods…  and preferably alone, so I can emote freely, according to whatever scene I’m working on.

This from today’s walk:

Where the red trail and the horse trail and the cross-country skiing tral meet.

A lovely walk. Way more fun than the gym, don’t you think?

I always walk. In woods, on moors, along rivers, wherever I can lose myself in the world. Okay, so it stops me writing. So does the gym. Really glad you are like Wordsworth and take inspiration from the activity and surroundings. Keeping faith. You are one of my favourites!

Walking is better for my writing than the gym, since when I’m walking in the woods I can actually think about the story. I can never do that in the gym! But the gym gives me better and more strenuous exercise, which is good for my brain — so that’s also good for my writing.

What’s bad for my writing is getting NO exercise at all.

I must keep telling myself that — it’s so hard to remember!
