Whew.

Rosemary

Okay, just got the latest proof copy of The Language of Power from CreateSpace, and I’m calling it.  DONE!

That dragon looks almost real to me…

That’s it — all four now in paperback.

Createspace said it would take a day or so for it to appear on Amazon.com… but I see that it’s up right now!

However, it’s not yet linked to the reviews made for previous editions.  I’ll have to tell them to do that, again.

I’ve ordered a bunch of copies, including those for my five valiant volunteers, who made proofing this book so much more pleasant than the previous.  Once they get here (in a couple of weeks, looks like) I’ll be asking for your street addresses so I can mail you your copy.  You are angels.

Thing that I’m not going to do (yet): I’m not going to go back and do another version of The Steerswoman in a size to match the other three books.  Because — I’ve sorta had it for now.  Really.   Spent a lot of time doing this, and I have other stuff that needs getting done!

Except, right now, I plan to nap.  ‘Cause, I’m beat.

Nice! I bought the ebook of book one around two years ago on Chad Orzel’s recommendation, but just got around to it last Friday. It hooked me within the first few chapters and I immediately ordered the first three in paperback. I’m on book three now and will finish it this weekend, so this came out just in time for me.

    Yay!!!

Yay indeed! Take several naps. I’d forgotten about the reward, so even more yays. And thanks—it was a pleasure.

Yay! I really look forward to having these books on my bookshelf 🙂

Are you planning to do a same-size version of book 1 eventually?, because in that case I can wait.

    • Rosemary Says:

Anna – Yes, I’m planning to… but not immediately. They’ve just launched the Feminist Futures ebook storybundle (of which I am a part), and although that’s all ebooks, it might cause people to become interested in having a physical paperback version. And the problem there is that in creating a new paperback there’s a week (sometimes two!) of back-and-forth, with possible multiple tries on getting proof copies that are satisfactory, and sometimes a day or so on top of that for the book to become live (and almost a month for it to be live on Amazon in Canada). It seemed like this would be the WORST time to have the book actually unavailable intermittently, or to have multiple unlinked versions floating around!

So, at the least, I’m waiting until the StoryBundle promo is done.

    Excellent! 🙂

I’ve sent the links to both “The Lost Steersman” and “The Language of Power” paperbacks to a friend whom I introduced to the Steerswoman series and who doesn’t like e-books – so that should be a couple of purchases happening soon!
