Still here

Rosemary

Not posting lately, but just to let you know I’m still here… a series of events at the DayJob has resulted in all my time being completely devoured.

For, like, a month or so now.

Steps toward resolution will be taken quite soon. But in the meantime, I might be a bit quiet for a while.

Other news: spent the weekend serving as phlegm-factory, dosed out on Nyquil and Dayquil in alternation. A fact not unrelated to the situation mentioned above.

Other other news: there is no other news.

Next up: random photos from my wonderful Labor Day weekend that I had no time to tell you about….

Kayaking -- love it.

Wild grapes!

Wild grapes!

They'd make a great table decoration, if only they lasted....

Who knew kayaking would be so much fun! Especially on a quiet pond, except when the commuters show up, honking. They make quite a splash!

So sorry you’ve been sick. But the weekend looks awesome! If we ever get to buy a house up here, we need to get a kayak–or more likely a canoe, which is likely to be a little easier on my poor old joints.

It was even more awesome than it looked — there’s plenty I left out, which I’ll tell at a later date…

The kayak wasn’t one of those strap-in-and-never-move-your-legs kind. I’d never survive that! It was a sort of kayak/canoe combo, with an open top. The critical difference for me was that two-ended paddle. I’ve been canoeing and didn’t like it much, largely because of how one propels it, I now see.
