Just back from Boskone

Rosemary

.. the convention in Boston.    I’ll be  posting  a con report, but not yet — first I’m taking a couple of days off of the DayJob to hang with my pals and fellow authors Ann Tonsor Zeddies  and Geary Gravel.

Just some sci-fi writers, shooting the breeze, drinking champagne, spinning dreams at each other.

Oh, and laughing like loons.   We do that a lot.

    Dear Rosemary,

I just finished reading your books about the steerswoman and I absolutely love them. Your writing makes me feel like I am right there with Rowan and Bel and your details add to the story and make it interesting. Sorry, I sound like a teacher here. Anyway, is the series finished? If not, do you know when you will release the next book? If so, do you plan on writing more books? Thank you and keep writing!
    Kristin

      Kristin, thanks!

The series isn’t finished yet, there’s plenty left. When will the next book come out? Well, I’ve been working on that. Because the books don’t yet earn me a living wage, I have to have a day job, so I have all the usual problems writers have when they have to split their time. But watch this space! Any news will be posted here first.

Well, this seems like as good a time as any to second what Kristin had to say about the Steerswoman. I read Jo Walton’s review last year and promptly raced through the books to date in about two days, and if I’d been smart enough to buy them all at once, it might have been one, because I couldn’t put them down. Rowan is one of the more compelling characters I’ve run into, and I’m really, really looking forward to finding out what comes next!
