Short post
Still sick, but dragging myself to the DayJob anyway, since the person who covers for me when I’m out is also out and all the stuff I didn’t do on Friday is now twice as urgent.
No time to say anything else, for the moment.
Except: the favorite post in this blog seems to be “Reply to the inevitable question“.  Lots of comments keep coming in to that one, and I thank you all.
More later.

Sorry to hear you’re really sick. I was hoping that your last post meant you were sneaking a day off to work on the next Steerswoman’s book. I just finished The Language of Power and I need my next fix… 🙂

Melodee —
Day off — alas, would that it were so. Because I was cheated, cheated out of my weekend! I just lay around in a Nyquil haze, listening to audiobooks and mostly falling asleep. That’s not what I call a weekend! If I can’t actually accomplish something, I should at least be able to enjoy myself!
Oh, but I did manage to finish reading Durham’s Acacia (must now get the sequel). My brain was too weary for Orzel’s How to Teach Physics to Your Dog, however. That one’s still in the queue.

Hope you feel better soon!

Wilson, Thanks .
I am taking tomorrow off, having demonstrated my dogged dependability by showing up today obviously unfit, yet accomplishing all the necessary. I shall collapse tomorrow, and be better enough to show up for important DayJob meeting on Wednesday.
Possibly a brain on over-the-counter meds might actually be an advantage when trying to comprehend Orzel’s book. They do say that if you think you understand quantum physics, you don’t understand quantum physics. If I maintain a state of doglike purity and simplicity, perhaps all will be revealed.
